About Meerah
Hello, there! I'm Meerah, and I'm here to make science feel less like a chore and more like an adventure. I don't believe in cramming isolated facts right before tests; instead, I focus on breaking everything down in a fun, engaging way so it truly makes sense. I love using storytelling, visual tricks, and relatable examples to turn tricky topics into memorable lessons.

Every child learns differently. While others thrive in a busy classroom, others benefit from individual guidance and one-on-one interaction.
My goal is to create a calm, encouraging environment where lessons are tailored to your child's pace, so they can build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and genuinely enjoy learning.

I don't believe in memorising without understanding. Rote-learning and cramming facts right before exams help no one. My approach is to help students understand concepts first, because when something truly makes sense, remembering it and applying it during exams feels easy and natural.
HOW A TYPICAL LESSON WORKS:
• Introduction – We start with detailed, stylised slides. I break down the school material into clear bullet points, diagrams, flowcharts, and visual explanations.
• Deep-Dive Explanation – We tackle the topic step-by-step. We build strong foundations first so every new idea connects naturally to what the student already knows.
• Active Recall Checkpoints – Every 7-10 minutes, I'll pause to ask short questions and review concepts to make sure the student is following along and feels confident before moving forward.
• Timed Quiz (15 mins) – In the later half of each session, we do a timed quiz with questions styled exactly like school exams. We grade it together during class so we can review mistakes immediately.
• Lesson Summary – At the end of every class, students receive a concise summary covering all key points discussed during class.
• Fun revision activities: Whenever suitable, I also include engaging revision activities such as crossword puzzles, matching exercises, flashcards, and mini-games to reinforce learning.
• Personalised Homework PDF – Within 1–2 hours after class, students receive a personalised homework worksheet targeting any difficulties identified during the class. Homework is reviewed together at the beginning of the next session.
• Keep Study Materials! – Students permanently keep all learning resources created for them, including slides, flowcharts, diagrams, lesson summaries, flashcards, and quiz questions.
• Questions are always welcome! There is no such thing as a silly question in my class!

To make our sessions as effective as possible, please send me the source material (relevant textbook/workbook pages, school teacher notes, and learning objectives) at least 24 hours before class. This allows me to prepare custom slides, activities, and resources tailored specifically to what your child is studying in school.
