About Katie
I am a teacher in my 7th year of teaching. I previously was a Teaching Assistant for almost 2 years. My degree is in Biological Sciences and I did an additional Physics Enhancement Course before I did my teacher training (PGCE).
I have taught Key Stage 3 & 4 pupils and have some strong GCSE results for my classes.
I have marked for GCSE exam boards so I know what answers examiners are looking for and can teach exam practice tips.

I chunk topics and build upon concepts. Using a variety of recall methods. Using dual coding to fully embed learning. Regular reviews of individual topics, assessing which areas need developing further. Using past paper questions to assess formally student understanding as exam practice is vital for students to fully understand what questions are asking of them building confidence in their own ability.
