About Mohamed
My name is Mohamed Diagne - at the University of Virginia, I lead Organic Chemistry study sessions where students learn to apply the principles of Organic Chemistry to different problems that they are likely to see on their exams. I moved to the University of Virginia from NYU, where I was Presidential Honors Scholar. My primary job at the moment is being a Pharmacology Researcher in UVA's Department of Pharmacology.

My teaching method is purely practice-oriented. Each week, students will send me topics that they would like to go over in my session. They are expected to come into session with a basic understanding of the topic and will learn how to apply their understanding to a variety of different problems (e.g. synthesis, mechanisms, word problems, etc). During our exercises, students are encouraged to ask questions about things they did not understand in lecture. My sessions are tailored for college students taking Organic Chemistry I and/or II.
