About Jamie
During my studies I was a STEM ambassador placed in Physics classrooms around schools in Edinburgh in which I planned and delivered lessons and supported struggling students with class work, homework and exam preparations.
I was also involved with a touring educational outreach charity delivering earth science workshops to high school students around Scotland.

My name is Jamie and I am passionate about science and maths - and think that everyone should share this :) I have a background in earth science and in my day job I write and teach curriculum-linked science and mathematics workshops in a science centre, as well as delivering science shows and workshops to the general public.
Whether it be just one specific subject area or continued guidance and support throughout a whole subject, I hope to deliver a flexible style of tutoring catered to the needs of the student. I believe in using both open and closed questions in order to guide the student to the correct way of thinking and dealing with the mathematical or scientific problems at hand, as opposed to just providing questions and answers.
I am patient and friendly and am happy to discuss any requirements you may have about your learning and how to go forward. I am fully DBS certified and can provide references on request. I look forward to working with you! :)
