About Jasmine
Hello! I am Jasmine, and I am a high school senior who tutors history from middle school to AP courses in high school. I myself have taken AP Gov, AP World, and AP US History and have gotten 5's. I am looking to reduce anxieties around history and turn it into not only something you excel in but also something you enjoy. We can break down writing sections of tests, go over multiple-choice, or whatever you need to feel prepared to succeed in class.
I do ask that you prepare me at least two days in advance of our session for whatever topic you are struggling with so I can gather the right material and review it so I am better suited to help you. Depending on the topic it may not be necessary, but make sure to check with me.

I am a College Board-recognized AP Scholar, looking to help students with AP (or any lower level) History topic questions! I excel in multiple-choice test-taking strategies and breaking down how to write a full-point scoring DBQ, LEQ or FRQ. I have taken AP Gov, AP World, and APUSH scoring 5s. Additionally, I have never scored under a 95 in any history class, so excelling on in-class tests is also a strong area for me. As a high school senior, I know just how busy students are, so I focus on maximizing results by working smarter, not harder.
A typical lesson plan would include going over any unclear topics and solidifying knowledge by identifying themes and commonalities. We will work on not only memorizing but understanding sequencing to effectively argue positions in writing.
I know how daunting AP History classes can seem; I almost dropped out of AP World junior year for fear of it being too difficult. I decided to stay and push myself, and through my studying techniques and a bit of work, I not only excelled in the class but I also earned a 5 on the AP exam. Together, we can work through any questions you have and make sure you feel comfortable with the material.
