About Gustavo
I am originally from São Paulo, Brasil, and moved to England to obtain my degree in jazz saxophone performance at Leeds Conservatoire in 2019. Since then, I finished my masters at the conservatoire and have been playing for several bands in the UK. Some of them include Orchestra Mambo International, Jinje and The Brief Utopia, Harry Moon and The Cardboard Rocket and more. Also, lead an 11 piece Brazilian music ensemble called Gustavo Andrade and The Brasukas. Alongside, I have been teaching people who want to either start or get better at percussion (especially Brazilian percussion) and saxophone, through workshops in conjunction with the Leeds City Council, or one on one private lessons. Get in contact if you want to learn in an interactive and relaxed way, while also acquiring knowledge on not only traditional genres, but also from music from different cultures

I have been teaching saxophone and percussion for about 5 years, alongside a career as a session musician and performer for about 10. I specialise in jazz, Latin and Brazilian rhythms and language. Open to teach anyone from beginners to intermediate players, that want that extra motivation to practise and perhaps even start a career.
