About Cailin
I hold my BMus and PGCE degrees (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch where I specialised in saxophone performance and music education. I have 6 years of teaching experience across a number of institutions.
I am thoroughly passionate about music education, and feel very lucky to have turned a passion for music into a successful career.
I am a people-person and I love working with students of all levels to help broaden their musical knowledge, as well as fostering and nurturing their love for music. I can teach any genre of music e.g. classical, pop, rock, jazz etc.
Sharing my musical knowledge and experiences with others is truly a privilege for me, and I look forward to meeting my new students!

I offer a variety of in-person and online lessons. I offer saxophone, recorder, music theory, and beginner/introductory music classes. I am based in Stellenbosch and Cape Town.
The practical lesson can be tailored to your individual needs. I offer music lessons for any level: beginner - advanced. I can help with a variety of musical genres such as classical, pop, jazz, and modern styles. I will provide the sheet music for practical lessons.
I can teach music theory ranging from beginner - university level.
The introductory music classes introduce the world of music to learners. During these classes, learners are taught the basics of music such as identifying, reading and playing musical rhythms, pitches and then finally, being able to read musical notation. The learners mainly use the recorder as their medium of learning, as it is a beginner-friendly, affordable and easily-accessible musical instrument.
