About Sofia
Hi, I’m Sofia! I’m a Computer Science and Mathematics student at Rutgers University with over three years of tutoring and teaching experience. I’ve worked with elementary and middle school students in both academic and coding settings, including teaching beginner Java and Python. I’m patient, reliable, and comfortable adjusting my teaching style to fit each student’s needs. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel confident asking questions and improving at their own pace :)

Hi, I’m Sofia! I mainly tutor elementary and middle school students, and I try to make my lessons engaging and easy to follow. I usually start with a quick warm-up, then teach the topic using slides, visuals, and lots of examples before moving into practice.
I like to explain things step by step and change my approach depending on how each student learns best. I also include little breaks or fun activities to keep students focused. Most importantly, I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and becoming more confident in what they’re learning!
