About Grace

For the past five years, I’ve been teaching music theory to students of all ages, from total beginners to advanced musicians. I’ve also helped many learners work toward ABRSM grades 1–8.

I earned an A in Music A‑Level, hold ABRSM Grade 8 in Piano, Flute, and Singing, and completed a Music Literacy diploma with the University of West London.

I absolutely love the theory side of music — it’s what inspired me to study it further. Whether you’re preparing for a Grade 6 exam or just curious to learn more, I’d love to hear from you.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is simple, I focus on what works best for each individual. I tailor every music theory lesson to the student’s needs because a student‑centred approach always creates the most meaningful learning experience. I take time to understand each learner’s goals, preferences, and learning style. Some students thrive with structure, while others prefer a more flexible, exploratory pace — and I adapt to both.

I design lesson plans with realistic, motivating goals that help students reach their full potential. I keep clear records of progress, highlighting both strengths and areas for development, and I believe it’s essential to share this with students — or their parents — to keep them encouraged and confident as their theoretical knowledge grows.

I also understand that life can be busy, and finding time for the things we love isn’t always easy. That’s why I offer flexible lessons for people who work shifts, can’t commit to weekly sessions, or simply have limited free time. I’m happy to schedule lessons whenever suits you — no pressure, no long‑term commitment. Just enquire!

I love teaching all ages and levels because music is something everyone should have the chance to explore and enjoy. Everyone has the potential to become a brilliant musician.
