About Daisy
Hi! I’m Daisy, a medical student at the University of Liverpool. I’m a friendly, patient tutor with a real passion for helping students reach their academic potential.
While teachers are invaluable, the school environment often makes it difficult for them to provide the tailored, one-to-one support that students need to truly excel. As a student myself, I know first-hand which study techniques are most effective. I also understand how important it is to have the right support—not just to boost grades, but to feel reassured that you’re making progress and moving in the right direction.
I specialise in:
. A-Level: Maths, Biology, Chemistry, EPQ (in which I achieved 53/54)
. GCSE: Maths and Science
. Medicine applications: Personal statements, UCAT, and interview preparation
I know how challenging Maths and Science can feel, but my approach is designed to make learning clear and manageable. I use a variety of effective methods, including:
. High-quality, diagram-rich presentations (created on Canva)
. Past paper practice and exam-style questions
. Access to clear, concise notes
. Study and revision strategies (flashcards, active recall, etc.)
I also support aspiring medics with application preparation, including mock interviews, medical ethics, and UCAT tutoring.

As a medical student, I’m a strong communicator and love sharing my enthusiasm for Maths and Science through tutoring. I also support aspiring medics with application preparation, including mock interviews, medical ethics, and UCAT tutoring.
First Lesson (Free):
Our first session will focus on assessing your needs and creating a personalised learning plan tailored to your goals.
Lesson Structure:
. Each lesson usually lasts 1 hour
. We begin with a short starter activity to ease into the session
. Main focus: personalised teaching using clear, diagram-rich PowerPoints, exam-style questions, and detailed review of mark schemes/student mistakes
. Lessons conclude with light homework tasks to consolidate learning
My aim is to make sessions engaging, structured, and effective—helping students not only improve their exam performance but also gain confidence in their abilities.

Perfect! Amazing my daughter was away going long division after the first hour…
