About Mario
I was born in 2002 in Sofia, Bulgaria. I started my piano education at the age of six and currently I am studying piano at Royal Conservatory in Birmingham, UK with a full scholarship in the class of Prof. Pascal Nemirovski.
I have an extensive concert experience as solo pianist. The Royal Conservatory in Birmingham awarded me with Denis Matthews Memorial Trust Scholarship Award and Miss Bowen Challenge Cup (2022).
I am a laureate of many International Piano Competitions: Special Prize of BPSE 2023 Senior Intercollegiate Piano Competition; First Prize of Beryl Chempin Beethoven Prize for Pianists 2022; First Prize of Denis Matthews Piano Prize competition 2022; First Prize of Winifred Micklam Prize competition 2022; Third Prize of London Classical Music Competition 2022; First Prize of the IV International Music Performance Competition “Music Prospect”, 2021; First Prize of the 9th International competition JSFest 2021 Instrumental Music Competition; First Prize of Millersville Keyboard Division Piano Competition, Pennsylvania, USA, 2021; Third Prize of Lancaster International Piano Festival, USA, 2020; Fisrt Prize of Classic Music Online Competition Perusia Harmonica, Perugia, Italy, 2020; First Prize of ХХІІІ International Competition „Hopes, Talents, Masters” – 2019, Dobrich, Bulgaria; Special 1st Prize at the 29th FLAME Competition 2018, Paris, France;1st Prize and “Premio Virtuoso” at the Second International Competition “Sante Centurione“ 2018, Chieti, Italy and others.
I am an 8-time winner of the “Lydia Kuteva” Memorial Scholarship, established by Prof. Pavlina Dokovska, USA and a laureate of the Yordan Kamdzhalov Foundation, Bulgaria for 2020 and 2021.

With younger students we start in small steps, as learning is combined with fun and games.
With the more advanced students we will go into depth on the style and the character of the pieces studied.
I also offer lessons of Solfeggio, Harmony and others.
I will be happy to share my knowledge and 15-year experience to help students improve their skills and motivation.
