About Alexander
I am a Belgian/Vietnamese Student studying aerospace engineering, whose true passion lies in the art of guitar. I am primarily self taught with light formal training, and believe that passion and commitment is critical if you wish to rapidly improve your playing and achieve your goals. I am honest and practical, and aim to be as efficient as possible in my teaching without wasting your time. I have composed songs, and adore performing technical pieces, I primarily listen to bands such as Dream Theater, Porcupine tree, Pink floyd, and all the rock classics. I am a committed teacher, and promise you will make substantial progress with me!

My objective is to give you a path and methodology to attaining your guitar goals, be it mastery of a certain technique or ability to play a certain song. I will assess your playing and potential weaknesses and propose practise routines and advice to help you improve your playing as fast as possible.
Lessons of 1 hour or more are recommended, and will be focused on improvement and ironing out issues as opposed to practise itself, which should be done by the student outside of tutoring hours. I will give exercises and routines which you can follow, and assign certain songs/compositions to improve your playing.
My experience lies in the composition and performance of primarily rock/metal, but I am a flexible player who enjoys blues, funk and other styles, and would be happy to teach them.
My lessons are for beginners picking up their first guitar, intermediates who wish to tackle their first difficult piece, or advanced intermediate players seeking constructive advice regarding techniques such as speed picking, sweep picking, economy picking, legato and much more. I will tailor my teaching based on what I believe to be most beneficial for your playing, and am happy to teach all levels!
