About Beth
With more than 10 years of experience teaching Guitar, I specialize in making lessons fun, motivating, and effective for college students. My teaching style combines hands-on learning, creativity, and personalized guidance, helping students build both skill and confidence.
I use a variety of techniques, including chords, fingerstyle, improvisation, and play-along sessions. I also explain music theory in simple, practical ways so students can immediately use it while playing. Innovative tools like backing tracks and recording exercises help make practice more interactive and enjoyable.
My lessons are designed to inspire students to explore music, develop their own style, and achieve their goals. Over the past 2 years, I’ve helped students master challenging songs, perform confidently, and even compose their own music. I strive to create an environment where learning Guitar is always fun, engaging, and rewarding.

My teaching approach for guitar combines creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability to make learning meaningful and fun.

As a mentor, I guide students with patience and constructive feedback, helping them build confidence, overcome challenges, and enjoy the learning process. I emphasize critical thinking by showing students how to analyze music, understand theory practically, and solve problems on their own.
Accountability is central to my method. Together, we set achievable goals, track progress, and celebrate milestones to maintain motivation and focus. Lessons are interactive, combining exercises, practice routines, and creative projects to keep students engaged.
I also teach related subjects such as music theory, improvisation, and composition, giving students a comprehensive understanding of music. My ultimate goal is to help students become confident, creative, and independent musicians who can express themselves fully through guitar.
