About Joseph

Hello! I am a robotics PhD researcher who loves robots and teaching GCSE maths. I have continuously taught maths to others throughout my education as I believe understanding this subject early on is so important and opens so many gateways in life, even if maths isn't one of your passions. Professionally I spend a lot of time coding in Python and C++ so I'm also happy to cover how maths links into coding if you are interested.

About the lesson

Through teaching I have realised that everyone's learning style is different, hence for each student I tailor my classes specifically to them, be it a more visual or classical approach. I also cover all exam boards and have no issue teaching around the subject as well (particularly regarding how maths is applied in the real world) .

In terms of experience I have done a lot of tutoring in maths, science and coding while at university. During the classes I am initially methodical and patient when teaching core concepts and methods, then once the student is comfortable I'll change the pace of the lessons and really push them to achieve their potential during their exams.

Please get in touch if interested, can't wait to get started!

I’ve known Joey for well over a year now and have learned a lot with him during our time at uni together. Joey is a patient and empathetic teacher and has self-taught a lot of complicated mathematical and physical theories during his PhD; this affords him a great deal of compassion when dealing with students’ worries.

Joey is knowledgeable, clearly explained, and experienced. I have no hesitation recommending him as your tutor.
