About Daniel
I’m Daniel Hohm, a professional euphonium player, conductor, and educator. I perform as Principal Euphonium with the Hammonds Band and hold an MPerf from the Royal Northern College of Music. I have extensive experience teaching adult learners, pre-professional students, and advanced brass players. My lessons focus on developing technique, musical expression, and confidence in performance. I use student-centred strategies, structured practice plans, and reflective guidance to ensure every learner progresses and enjoys their musical journey. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether preparing for auditions, competitions, or personal development. I am passionate about inspiring confidence, fostering musical independence, and helping students unlock their full potential on brass.

I offer personalised brass lessons that combine technical mastery, musical expression, and practical performance skills. Each lesson is structured around your individual goals: we start with warm-ups and technical exercises, move to repertoire or audition material, and finish with reflection and targeted practice strategies. Lessons typically last 30–60 minutes, depending on your needs, and can be scheduled weekly, fortnightly, or flexibly. I draw on my experience as Principal Euphonium with a leading brass band, my performance career, and my MPerf from the Royal Northern College of Music to deliver engaging, student-centred tuition. I aim to motivate learners, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills. Lessons are suitable for adult learners, pre-professional students, and anyone looking to improve technique, performance, or audition preparation.
