About Chanodya
Hey! I am Chanodya and I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in biomedicine with a GPA of 4.0. I am currently available to tutor high school students in biology, chemistry and sinhala language and first year university students in biochemistry, human biosciences (anatomy & physiology), molecular biology, immunology and genetics.
University can be daunting at times, and I understand how stressful it may be to work up to a certain standard and pursue it. My teaching methods will ensure that you are able to work to your maximum capabilities under a less stressed mentality.
As I tutor, I pay great attention into understanding my student's goals and progression and always end my sessions with a reflection on how far the student has come. I have been a Senior Prefect, House Captain, President of a Gavel Club, Girl Guide and the captain of the tennis team during high school and I wish to incorporate those skills and experiences to make your tuition experience a great one!

I am a firm believer that to achieve good results, a study plan that is tailored to the student's individual needs is key. Before the first session starts, I wish to take 10-15 minutes to engage with the students and identify their strengths, weaknesses and goals, followed by a mutual agreement on the tuition style that would be effective and sustainable on the long run.
My basic tutoring method includes,
1. Additional resources for further understanding will be recommended upon request
2. Study tips suited for the student's lifestyle and abilities.
3. Assistance for effective note taking, short notes and mind maps.
4. Tips to approaching multiple choice questions, structured questions and essay questions.
5. Guidance for time management and study planning
I provide one-on-one tutoring (online and home visits) as well as group tutoring (online and home visits). Both can be done online as well as home visits to suburbs Bundoora, Mill Park, Thomastown, Lalor, South Morang, Kingsbury, Reservoir and Preston. Library visits can also be arranged to the Mill Park library and RMIT university (Bundoora Campus) library. While I charge $35/hour for individuals, $30/hour per person will be charged for a group of 2 and $25/hour per person for groups of 3+.
