About Tessa
I am an Architecture tutor with 4 years of teaching experience, working with both high school and college students. Over the years, I have successfully taught and guided more than 200–250 students. My experience has helped me understand different learning styles and academic needs at various levels.
My teaching philosophy is simple. I believe architecture is about creativity, logic, and purpose. I focus on building strong fundamentals in design principles, building construction, drafting, and architectural graphics. I help students understand not only how to design, but why they design in a certain way.
I create a supportive and structured learning environment. I am patient, approachable, and always ready to explain concepts in simple terms. I use sketches, real project examples, and practical exercises to make lessons clear and engaging. I also guide students in software tools and portfolio development when needed.
Many of my students have improved their grades, completed strong design projects, and gained confidence in studio work. Some have successfully secured admissions and internships in architecture programmes. Their progress and achievements are my greatest success.
My goal is to help every student think creatively, solve problems confidently, and grow into a skilled and thoughtful future architect.

My teaching approach in Architecture is practical, creative, and student-centred. I believe architecture is not just about drawings, but about ideas, function, and human experience. I teach core subjects such as architectural design, building construction, architectural graphics, structural basics, building materials, environmental design, and urban planning. I also guide students in software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and 3D modelling.
I start by understanding each student’s level and learning style. With empathy and patience, I create a comfortable space where students feel free to ask questions and share ideas. Architecture can be challenging, so I break complex concepts into simple and clear steps. I use sketches, diagrams, real project examples, and case studies to explain design principles.
Collaboration is an important part of my tutoring style. I encourage students to think critically, discuss their concepts, and improve their designs through feedback. We work together on studio projects, portfolios, assignments, and exam preparation. I also teach problem-solving skills, space planning, sustainability concepts, and how to connect design with real-world needs.
My goal is to help students build strong technical knowledge along with creativity and confidence. I guide them in developing design thinking, presentation skills, and professional readiness. Every lesson is structured, supportive, and focused on helping them grow into thoughtful and skilled future architects.
