About Jeff

I am a 40 year veteran of the computer industry and have learned that algebra and simple math is a needed cog in this world today. It can be as simple as making change, filling out your taxes or solving for an unknown variable. I have had to teach new employees how to calculate costs, pay their taxes and yes even solve for a unknown variable.

About the lesson

Teaching math through algebra for students involves guiding them through the exploration of abstract concepts and practical applications in a way that fosters understanding and enthusiasm for the subject. As an educator, my approach emphasizes clarity, engagement, and relevance. I prioritize interactive and collaborative learning experiences. I use visual aids like graphs and models to help students visualize and better grasp abstract ideas. Technology, such as graphing calculators and educational software, plays a crucial role in making algebra more accessible and engaging.
