About Larry
After earning my PhD in Marketing at The Ohio State University in 1970, I taught marketing courses, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, at New York University and University of Massachusetts Amherst. This involved extensive interaction with students in planning and evaluating their written and oral class presentations, master's and doctoral projects. When I was the Executive Director, International Business & Management Institute, University of Maryland Global Campus, Tokyo, Japan, my work consisted of oral and written presentations with the American, European and Japanese instructors, corporate client representatives, and corporate client trainee managers and staff. This involved sensitivity, flexibility and tact in working with Japanese and local managers and staff at client sites in 20 countries, and with manager-track employees from 70 countries being trained at the Tokyo head office. A major part of my job at a global South Korean holistic health corporation in Maryland and Arizona required me to coach and edit the written and oral presentation projects of Asian and American employees. For my free-lance business consulting, training and coaching practice, I have guided client executives and staff to enhance their oral and written communication.

I teach college success skills, writing and oral presentations based on the projects you are currently doing or planning. I like to give positive and constructive feedback. Then you can do more of the project, giving your own feedback, with additional feedback from me. We go onward until you and I are fully satisfied. Besides helping you with proper English and effective oral and written methods, I aid you in becoming aware of and releasing any mental or emotional issues that are interfering with strong learning and peak performance – such as anxiety and frustration, lack of confidence and risk taking. And all this learning is done using my “Edutainment Approach,” which fuses learning and mastery strategies with the energizing of enjoyment.
