About Debra
I'm a retired teacher with 30 years of classroom experience. I have a Masters in Elementary Education and even began work on my PhD at one point. I've taught kindergarten, first, fourth, and fifth grade. Most of my experience lies in reading, writing, grammar, history, and math. I've worked with students of all levels throughout my career and am comfortable teaching general study habits and learning strategies. Colleagues describe me as kind, patient, and motivating. I would love to help your child excel.

My teaching method is based on building a child's confidence. I work closely with parents to make sure the child's needs are met whether they are working on improving strengths or weaknesses. My goal is to gently lead the child to a better understanding of the subject and to practice skills repeatedly with increasing levels of difficulty.
