My teaching approach is centered on creating an inclusive, research-informed, and discussion-based learning environment that encourages students to think critically and apply theory to real-world problems. Drawing on my background in employment relations, technology, artificial intelligence, and social policy, I aim to make complex concepts accessible while fostering independent analysis and intellectual curiosity.
A typical lesson begins with a brief recap of key concepts and learning objectives, followed by a short interactive presentation introducing the week's topic. Students then work through guided exercises, case studies, or engaged discussions that encourage them to connect theory with current social, economic, or technological developments. The session concludes with reflection and formative feedback.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect cutting-edge research with practical examples, drawing directly on my work as a researcher studying technology, work, sustainability, and social change. I encourage students to engage critically with evidence while creating a supportive environment where all viewpoints are respected.
My teaching experience spans undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including seminars in employment relations and workshops on human-centered AI, supporting students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.
