About Nick
I thoroughly enjoy teaching and it has been my favourite part of my life as a PhD student. I have taught small group seminars/ tutorials and marked across several modules in politics and international relations at my current university. These include: Comparative European Politics, Political Concepts, and International Relations from 1989 to the Present.
I have received positive feedback from the students I have taught and had a very positive peer review observation from an established academic in the field.

Hi everyone. I have several years experience teaching and marking on UK undergraduate university modules across politics, political theory, and international relations modules. I've recently obtained a PhD in political theory on the ethics and politics of migration and citizenship.
My lessons are geared towards university undergraduate students. I can offer you a range of strategies to get high marks on university essays in politics, international relations, and human geography. We can discuss your goals and work on how you can achieve these in a practical way.
My philosophy and focus is on teaching you how to think clearly and effectively, and then how to communicate this well through a strong argument. Based on my previous studies and my teaching experience, I believe this is the no. 1 way to get good grades in university essays and exams. However, we also can discuss (and debate) specific themes and content based on your assigned reading, personal area of interest, or dissertation/ thesis topic.
