About Ginny
I am a full-time research scientist based in Reading. I found my passion for teaching during my PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Kent, where I had the chance to teach biology to undergraduate and postgraduate students for 3 years. In my spare time I enjoy reading, building enclosed ecosystems and playing board games.

I can provide a flexible learning environment based on the tutees needs.
My teaching approach is to tackle three key areas:
1. Familiarise the tutee with the materials and specifications of the course/module.
2. Identify particular topics the tutee may be struggling with and ensure there aren't any gaps in their knowledge.
3. Go through past exam papers and teach exam technique.
Typical length of a lesson is 1-2 hours, depending on the personal needs of the tutee. I can also provide the tutee with additional questions and tasks to reinforce their knowledge of the content.
I believe my experience in an academic environment, particularly scientific research, will inspire the students by providing them with real life applications for what they are learning.
