About Omar
I have both an industrial and an academic background. I am currently a research scientist in AstraZeneca. Before this, I worked for a year in a biotechnology company called Artios Pharma. I completed my BSc in pharmacology and business management at the University of Edinburgh, then completed an MSc in Drug Discovery Skills which involved an industrial placement in AstraZeneca and then completed a PhD in Neuroscience at King’s College London.

I am very informal and I am happy to help with whatever questions you have. I like to start off with asking what your background is and what your goals are. These kinds of questions make you reflect on what you are currently doing and how this will aid you in achieving your aims. They also help me identify how I can best help you. Afterwards we can chat on what your options are and from then on we can arrange sessions to go over different aspects of career development and can create a CV and cover letter for different roles and have mock interviews.
