About Ali
I am a fully registered Queensland Mathematics teacher with a PhD in Engineering and approximately 27 years of teaching and tutoring experience across different educational settings.
I currently teach Mathematics at a Queensland secondary school, working with students from Years 7–12. My strongest areas are Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics, and I have extensive experience explaining advanced concepts in a clear, structured and accessible way.
I believe that every student can improve when complex ideas are broken down carefully and taught with patience. I particularly enjoy helping students move from feeling overwhelmed by Mathematics to understanding the underlying logic, solving problems independently and approaching assessments with genuine confidence.

My lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s current level, learning needs and academic goals. I specialise in Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics and Years 7–10 Mathematics, with a strong focus on QCAA assessment requirements and external examination preparation.
Rather than simply showing students how to obtain an answer, I explain difficult concepts clearly and step by step. I help students identify knowledge gaps, strengthen mathematical reasoning, develop effective problem-solving strategies and approach unfamiliar questions with confidence.
Online lessons are interactive. Students can see all mathematical working, ask questions throughout the session and actively solve problems with my guidance. Lessons may focus on concept development, homework support, assignment preparation, examination revision or extension work for high-achieving students.
