About Abby
I'm a practical nurse who also works as a certified foot care nurse. Currently, I am pursuing a Registered Practical Nursing degree at Ryerson University in Toronto. As a university student, part of my degree is practical placement. I was recently placed at an EarlyON center which provides programs and services to children from infancy to 6 years old. In this placement I learned valuable teaching skills and improved my communication skills between the student and parent. I have worked in nursing homes as a student, providing care for the elderly such as giving medications and helping them with their daily activities.

My teaching style is more demonstration and less lecturing. I like to always have the students engaged and excited to learn in as many ways possible.
What makes me special as a teacher is that I'm able to connect with students on a personal level. This is crucial in determining the students learning styles, and what areas they struggle with to help them succeed.
I tailor each lesson to meet each students needs by providing different resources, and allowing them to ask any questions they may have,
