About Jennifer
About Me
I am a Registered Nurse with 17 years of diverse clinical experience and a strong commitment to excellence in nursing practice and education. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Nursing Education. Continuing my own education allows me to stay current with evidence-based practice and modern teaching strategies while modeling lifelong learning for my students.
My clinical background includes Med-Surgical nursing, Long-Term Care, Urology, School Nursing, and Home Health. This range of experience has strengthened my clinical judgment, adaptability, and understanding of patient care across the lifespan and in multiple healthcare settings.
Throughout my career, I have mentored new nurses, supported students during clinical rotations, and helped colleagues strengthen their assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills. I understand how rigorous and overwhelming nursing school can be, and I am passionate about helping students gain both confidence and competence.
Professionalism is central to my work. I approach each tutoring session prepared, organized, and attentive to individual learning styles. My teaching emphasizes understanding the “why” behind nursing interventions so students can move beyond memorization and develop strong clinical reasoning skills.
Students can expect reliability, timely communication, and a supportive environment where questions are welcomed. I hold myself to high standards of accuracy, integrity, and accountability—just as I do in patient care.
My goal is not only to help students improve grades or pass exams, but to help them build the knowledge and confidence necessary to practice safely and effectively. I would be honored to support you in your nursing journey.

My Teaching Approach
With 17 years of nursing experience across Med-Surg, Long-Term Care, Urology, School Nursing, and Home Health, I help students move beyond memorization and truly understand how to think like a nurse. My goal is to build confidence, strengthen clinical judgment, and improve exam performance.
Teaching Method
My approach is structured, supportive, and individualized. I focus on breaking complex topics into clear, manageable concepts while emphasizing the “why” behind assessments and interventions. I use real-world clinical examples to connect textbook material to actual patient care.
Sessions often include NCLEX-style questions, case studies, and priority-setting exercises to strengthen critical thinking. I also teach practical test-taking strategies to help reduce anxiety and improve scores.
Typical Lesson Structure
Each session is tailored to the student’s needs but generally includes:
A brief assessment of problem areas
Focused content review with simplified explanations
Application through practice questions or scenarios
Review of key takeaways and study strategies
Students leave with clearer understanding, stronger reasoning skills, and a focused plan for improvement.
What Sets Me Apart
My 17 years of diverse bedside and community nursing experience allow me to explain not just what to do, but why it matters in real practice. I bring patience, encouragement, and clinical insight to every session. Many students struggle because they haven’t been shown how to organize and apply information effectively — that’s where I help.
Who I Work With
I tutor pre-nursing, LPN/LVN, ADN, BSN students, repeat test-takers, NCLEX candidates, and new graduates seeking additional support.
Whether you’re in Fundamentals, Med-Surg, Pharmacology, or preparing for boards, I tailor lessons to your course goals and learning style to help you succeed.
