About Fawn
Pedaling technique, scales and arpeggios, ear training, sight reading, rhythm and timing, and hand independence form my teaching foundation. Piano playing requires precision. After 9 years of performing and teaching throughout Seattle, I have developed a methodical approach to posture and hand shape.
My BMus from the Curtis Institute of Music informs how I guide students toward structural clarity. Some pupils prepare for conservatory auditions while others explore the instrument as adults, but I provide rigorous attention to both groups. My practice continues to evolve through the students I mentor daily.

Sometimes the hardest part of music is simply knowing where to place your hands to find the right sound. Because of my BMus training at the Curtis Institute of Music, I focus on correcting bad habits that hinder long term growth.
I emphasize finger independence and proper physical alignment during every 60 minute block. After each session, you receive free access to my annotated practice notes to keep your progress on track.
These guides serve as a constant reference for the technical adjustments we discuss together. My instruction remains grounded in the specific mechanical requirements of the keyboard. This ensures your technical foundation stays sturdy as you navigate complex repertoire.
