About Charla

Teaching 344 students has refined my craft. 13 years of instruction provides a vast perspective on linguistic acquisition. I focus on accent, intonation, and complex verb conjugation to ensure accuracy.

My methods serve intermediate learners, advanced learners, travelers, and hobbyists who desire a sophisticated command of French. Writing skills and idioms are key components of my curriculum.

About the lesson

Your first lesson begins with a diagnostic assessment of your current speaking and writing level. Drawing from my Master of Music in Vocal Studies, I apply a unique ear for phonetics to help you master French sounds and rhythm. Throughout my 13 years of teaching, I have found that structured practice in grammar and vocabulary yields the best outcomes for intermediate and advanced students.

We utilize weekly conversation recordings reviewed together to pinpoint specific areas for growth during our time together. I maintain a warm, methodical pace that allows you to absorb complex expressions without feeling overwhelmed. My teaching style emphasizes steady progress and clear communication for every student I encounter.
