About Ellie
I am recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh, thus have undertaken 4 years of rigorous economics studying, involving labour economics, global economics, econometrics and statistics for economics. I was part of a scheme called EconPALS, where I helped first year students in their studies by creating new and innovative questions, and guiding them through the answers. EconPALS participants consistently did better than peers who did not attend the scheme.

I am from London, and would like to give classes online. I have had a multitude of experience teaching young people in both Economics and different subjects. I am creative and thoroughly enjoy passing on my expertise to others. I believe the best way to learn is through asking questions, and coming to conclusions more independently rather than being told the answer. This is how I've learnt to teach, and how I will aim to teach you. I wish to guide my students to arrive at the answer, giving them cleverly thought out problems in order to help. My teaching style is dependent on the level of Economics/Mathematics tutoring needed, but will be based off my own questions for the student to attempt individually, then discussed and worked through together.

Perfect! Ellie is a really lovely and supportive tutor for my A-Level in Economics. She tailors the lesson to any topics I need more help with and always makes me feel comfortable to ask any questions. I highly recommend Ellie as an economics tutor!
- Really knowledgable on lots of the basics! Had good answers to all questions asked - just need to work on how to answer exam questions, will we'll do lots more work on!Ellie's response :

Ellie has consistently been of help to my children in various different subjects. She has helped all ages from 11+ to GCSE/A-level in mathematics tuition, and has also helped my eldest with their A-level economics! She is patient, creative, and makes it fun for them - a real asset!
I have used Ellie a few times for tutoring in Economics, and more recently Maths A-level. She is very knowledgeable on both subjects, and extremely patient. Also - she always is very prepared for the lessons, providing useful resources that I can take away after. Thanks Ellie!
Would highly recommend Ellie. Her style is patient, kind & fun! Very pleased we found her.
Ellie is a trustworthy tutor as I really struggled with the basic principles and was rather embarrassed on how long it took me. However Ellie was very patient and took her time going through each key theory to build a better understanding. I know I am able to go to Ellie for any kind of information gaps.
I had a really positive tutoring experience with Ellie. She always explained things so clearly, making sure I understood everything before we moved on. She helped me improve massively: before I started with her I was predicted a B grade, but after three months under her supervision, I managed to achieve the A* I was after. I would really recommend Ellie as a tutor to anyone studying AS/A level Economics; no matter your starting ability, she will help you improve massively. Thank you for all your time and support, Ellie.
