About Louis
I recently moved into the Perth area from California. I finished university this past June, receiving two Bsc's from the University of California, Davis. I graduated at the top of my classes, finishing with a 3.6 GPA(4.0 scale). Learning has always been a passion of mine and I love to share this passion with others. I tutored other college students throughout college and subsequently I worked with high school students after my graduation. I've tutored most subjects, ranging from Chemistry, Biology, and Physics to Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry to the occasional English and Language Arts. I also do test prep for most standardized testing.

I take a personalized approach to each student, knowing that all students learn differently and ultimately we work until we reach and surpass the success the student (and their parents) want to achieve. My lesson on a given day depends on a number of factors including the progress a student has made on their homework, their current understanding of current (and past) topics, and what tests/projects are coming up. I work through homework with students if needed, although I prefer for students to have worked through it prior to our meeting so we can just address issues they may be having. I also bring supplemental material in the form of worksheets and online videos to further a student's understanding of a topic. If a student has a firm grasp of current material I will bring more advanced problems to further their learning. I will also help students build calendars to keep them on top of their work and can teach study habits when needed.
