About Sameer
Hi, I recently graduated from medical school (USDO)! I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, and I have been passionate about the sciences and teaching for as long as I can remember. My tutoring journey began in high school at Kumon, where I helped students of all ages in Math, Science, and Reading. During college, I developed a deep respect for my professors and mentors who shaped my education, and I strive to offer that same support and guidance to my students. I specialize in tutoring premed students and medical students in their coursework and also to prep for exams/boards. I passed the USMLE Step 1 on my first try and scored a 255 on Step 2. I am also familiar with the COMLEX Level 1 and 2 exams, so I can offer help there if needed. Throughout medical school, I developed a variety of study strategies and time management techniques that helped me succeed, and I am eager to share them to help you excel. My approach is tailored to each student. I focus on clarifying complex concepts, sharing high-yield resources, and helping you build confidence and mastery. Whether you are preparing for coursework, shelf exams, or board exams, I am here to support you every step of the way. My Approach as a Tutor
I focus on simplifying complex scientific and medical concepts using relatable analogies, visuals, and stepwise explanations. My sessions are interactive and tailored to each student’s learning style, encouraging critical thinking over memorization to build true understanding.
We begin with a quick review of previous material, then dive into new topics with structured explanations and real-world or clinical examples. Each session includes practice questions to apply concepts, ends with a summary and Q&A, and I provide targeted recommendations for continued study.
Having completed both pre-medical and medical coursework, I understand the demands of these subjects. I break down dense material into digestible parts while maintaining depth, and I teach efficient study and test-taking strategies to build confidence and long-term success.
Undergraduate students in science-based majors (especially pre-med) and medical students preparing for in-house exams or USMLE Step 1 and 2. Whether you want to strengthen your foundations or excel in board exams, I will tailor sessions to your goals.
