About Tekla
My name is Tekla and I am a first year student at the University of Bath studying Structural and Architectural Engineering. I recently completed my A-levels achieving 3A*s studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Before this success I experienced struggle during the course of my A-levels which has motivated me to tutor others, with the hopes of helping other students overcome their struggles just as I did. From my firsthand experience I know that the difficulties are only temporary and I believe I can help others through this stage in a shorter amount of time than it took me.

To ensure my students receive the best I have to offer, I will first go over any areas of difficulty in their specification and ensure I have a thorough understanding of each concept.
At the beginning of each session, I will briefly test my students on any areas of concern to pinpoint any weak points that require our attention. I will then proceed to breakdown the concept into digestible pieces of information for the student. To ensure they can apply the information, I will go through questions with the student to round up the lesson.
I will then assign homework to be done alone, which I will then mark. At the next session I will go over the results of the homework and if we feel like they have a firm grasp of the concept we can move on, and if not we will revisit it till the student feels confident.
All practice questions and assignments will be extracts from old past papers to improve the students exam technique while simultaneously aiding them in understanding the concept, as I know that understanding the concept is only half of the puzzle while exam technique is the other half.
