About Samari
Hi, I'm Samari, and I'm 18 years old. I'm a recent high school graduate with 3 years of experience tutoring English Language Learners (ELL) of all ages. I specialize in helping students improve their reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in a way that feels encouraging and easy to follow. My lessons are tailored to each learner’s needs and goals, whether they’re just starting out or looking to build confidence in everyday conversation. I speak a good amount of Spanish—English is my first language, but for my parents, it was the opposite—so I understand the challenges of learning a new language and how to support others through it.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy being active—whether it’s exercising, playing sports, or spending time outdoors. I love animals, helping my community, and spending quality time with family and friends. Supporting others and creating a positive environment is important to me, both in and out of the classroom.

A Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical session begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by focused practice on one skill (reading, writing, listening, or speaking).
I often include short games or activities to keep lessons engaging and reinforce learning.
I use short reading passages, writing prompts, vocabulary exercises, and conversation practice in every session.
Each lesson ends with a recap and small homework suggestion or tip for practice outside of tutoring.
