About Beck
I have been tutoring for three years. I have helped students increase grades across the board but especially in writing and reading proficiency. I hope to help students achieve their full potential, become independent learners, and instill confidence so they believe they can achieve their dreams and take on the world.

I teach using student-centered learning. I believe every child learns differently and that every kid should have the opportunity to have a lesson/learning plan built just for them. I am willing to make accommodations so that every student has the opportunity to learn equally. I believe what sets me apart as a tutor is that I have faced the difficulties of being a student with dyslexia and ADHD, so I have learned how to adapt and explain my thinking. I have learned how to adapt lessons and show students how to read, write, comprehend what they are reading, and express their thoughts and ideas on paper. My lessons are mainly for K–4th-grade writing, English, literature, math, and sciences. Additionally, I can teach students up to the 6th grade and assist in creating lesson plans for homeschoolers.
