About Rachel
I recently graduated with m Bachelor's in Biology and am pursuing a career in teaching. I have teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant for multiple college biology courses as well as volunteering to teach science concepts to third grade students. I am equipped to tutor middle school science and high school biology, including AP courses. As a recent student I know that learning is not always easy, especially virtually. I know where learners can struggle and I know what can help them overcome those struggles.

I start with an overview of the subject and then hone in on the problem areas for the student. I use a variety of methods, because all people have different learning styles. I think some of the most effective tactics are to use diagrams and visuals, to go through practice problems, and to have the student summarize or "teach" the material back to me or to a peer.
