About Elaine
I have been giving lessons for over 4 years, and I work one-on-one with students to help them build confidence. I was a writing tutor at my university for college students, but I have also worked with grade school children on their reading and writing skills.

As a recent graduate of college, I obtained a B.A. in English Writing. During my college career, I learned a variety of styles of writing from creative writing to professional writing. I was a writing tutor/consultant at my university, and I discovered my love of working with other students. Then, I also earned a TESOL certification to teach English as a second language.
I am currently an ESL instructor who provides innovative instruction. For example, to teach grammar, I use a visual approach where the students watch Mr. Bean videos and discuss the actions in the videos. When you can visually see what you are learning, I find that it helps a lot.
