About Megan
I’ve been teaching for 11 years and have been tutoring for 16 years. I love working with students to make them more confident and believe that everyone can learn to read well when presented with multiple exposures to systematic, explicit instruction. I believe being illiterate is a social justice issue and that no human should lack the skills necessary to be successful in society.

I have years of experience as a reading specialist. I’ve received training in the science of reading and how to best support students with dyslexia or dyslexic tendencies. I’m a Skilled practitioner who can identify skill gaps and then provide intervention to address those gaps.
I have 2 masters degrees in education, one in reading and one in digital literacy, so I am proficient at delivering instruction through technology. I am also a national board certified teacher.
My instruction is systematic and explicit, addressing gaps in phonics and phonemic awareness.
