About Molly
I started piano as a little kid, and worked through the Royal Conservatory of Music preparatory and examinations up to grade 7. At that level, I found the examinations more stressful than rewarding and switched my focus to the joy of music while following the rigor of RCM curriculum up to grade 9. Finding my personal connection with music and piano is the reason I still play every day, and led me to learn guitar and fiddle too!
While I love music, it's not my whole life. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and Science Communication, and work as a tutor for middle-schoolers in Halifax, NS.

The key to learning piano is patience, practice, and purpose. We will talk about why you or your child wants to play, and focus our lessons around that! Each lesson is 30 or 45 minutes (up to you!) and will include basic theory, finger mobility drills, and learning new pieces!
Lessons are appropriate for absolute beginners up to students working at an RCM grade 3 level. I do not prepare students for examinations - just enjoyment!
