About Laura
I fell in love with Italian, and Italy, at a young age. I started learning the language at the age of 12 and spent the following 25 years becoming a fluent speaker, teacher and translator. Italy is my second home, so I have a deep understanding of not only the language but the culture, too. A great teacher makes all the difference to a student's success. When I found a teacher who could really explain the mechanics of the Italian language to me, and could show me how to practise effectively, I was able to accelerate my learning. I can teach you the methodology I used to become fluent in Italian and help you reach your goal, whether it's conversational Italian, passing an exam or preparing for a job interview. I can also support with translating texts and translation best practices.

Through my classes, you will access the framework I used to become fluent in Italian and sound like a native, or simply improve your existing skills. I have a first-class degree in Italian and a distinction-level master's degree in Italian Translation & Interpreting. With 10 years of experience in translating and teaching, my classes are suitable for students of all levels. I can assess your level and needs before tailoring lessons to meet your requirements. Whatever your reason for learning, I can help you truly understand the language and the culture so that you can start communicating with confidence. Classes can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes long.
