About Steve
I am passionate about supporting people to grow in confidence and self-esteem. It has been the privilege of my life to deliver programmes for vulnerable, often socially excluded, children, young people and adults for over 25 years. We are all unique, and all deserve the opportunity to speak our truth and be listened to. I have worked with people in addiction services, domestic violence services, women's refuges, mental health support services and refugee services. I believe in meeting people where they are at and encouraging and empowering them to find their voice, express themselves and go on their own journey of self-discovery. To witness learners opening up, and gaining in strength towards becoming who they always were, is the most wonderful and magical experience.

My main aim is to build the confidence and self-esteem of my learners, within a safe, non-judgemental space.Through the facilitation of a variety of fun activities, discussions and workshops, my programmes explore a wide variety of topics including communication, assertiveness, values, behaviour change, goal setting and boundaries. Lessons are 2 hours long and aimed at 16+ learners. I am a PGCE qualified Further and Higher Education teacher.Other qualifications include: Basic skills teaching Cert; Certificate in teaching learners with specific learning difficulties (dyslexia); Ba (Hons) Applies Social Studies; Level 4 Advice & Guidance. I have been teaching and facilitating courses/programmes both in college's and in the community for over 25 years.
