With over 15-years experience teaching and working with students, I've learned that the most important thing is for students to enjoy the subject. All my lessons are tailored to the individual student, as far as possible, and I try to keep them practical and fun.
If you're studying English as a foreign language or for an exam, at the start of our journey we'll create an individualised learning plan and set goals together. Lesson plans will be produced in advance and shared with you at the start of each session. Lessons will involve reading together and a period of discussion. We will practise writing (for example, practising essay structure or writing for different purposes). We will also do fun, creative writing activities.
With my younger students, we learn through play. Lessons are planned around an age and reading level appropriate book and will involve craft and play activities to bring the book to life. Typical activities include writing and illustrating stories together, imaginative word games, art projects, and reading around the subject.
In my creative writing group sessions, we study different elements of writing, do fun writing activities, and provide feedback for each other's work as a group. I also provide personalised feedback. Individual creative writing tutoring sessions are more individualised and tailored to your needs and interests.
