About Rebekah
Teaching is something I have always wanted to do from a very young age. Since University, I have spent a lot of time teaching in foreign countries and in the UK and know that this is something that inspires me to make a difference. Teaching is not my full-time profession as I also work in a wellbeing/support role in Higher Education. Pulling this into the picture of teaching, my approach is very compassionate and patient, in an attempt to understand the needs of my students as I teach them. I want to inspire my students to feel comfortable in asking questions and asking for help when there is something they don't understand.

My classes are informative and tailored to working on areas where students may struggle. I entail to organise a curriculum that fits their needs and is differentiated to their ability, with some suitable challenge. Children should be engaged and inspired to learn, and with the experience I hold, this is something I endeavour to do. Upon graduating from Aberystwyth University with a BA English Literature degree, I moved to China for 2.5 years working as a Foreign English Language Teacher to Kindergarten and Primary level students. From there, I returned to the UK to pursue a UK teaching qualification, where I have achieved QTS and a PGCE. I continue to tutor some international students privately, so hold experience in online tutoring. My lessons are suitable for KS2 (7-11) and KS3 (11-14). Lessons are typically 50 minutes long.
