About Amanda
After 30 years of running my own businesses, I decided to enter into the teaching profession and share a wealth of knowledge with students, along with a deep enthusiasm which I share with my pupils. Having been a business owner and now a qualified QTS teacher I am well placed to deliver engaging and academic lessons.

I am a qualified teacher with experience teaching Business Studies to secondary and sixth form students, KS4 and KS5. My aim is to build students' confidence, develop their subject knowledge, and help them achieve their academic goals through engaging and supportive lessons.
I believe that students learn best when lessons are tailored to their individual needs.
I use a variety of teaching techniques, including:
Clear explanations of key business concepts and theories
Real-world business examples to bring topics to life
Retrieval practice and regular knowledge checks to strengthen memory
Exam-style questions and feedback to improve exam technique
Scaffolding and differentiation to support all learners
Targeted revision strategies and study skills development
Lessons are interactive and encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and apply their knowledge to business scenarios.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required, particularly before examinations.
