About Maisie
I chose teaching because I genuinely enjoy seeing children grow in confidence and realise what they are capable of. For me, tutoring is not just about helping a child achieve the right answer; it is about creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and developing a positive attitude towards learning.
I am a patient, reliable and consistent teacher who takes the time to understand each child and tailor lessons to their individual needs. I believe that when children feel listened to, encouraged and supported, they are much more likely to enjoy learning and make progress.
My aim is to make every lesson engaging, purposeful and enjoyable, while ensuring that children feel proud of their achievements. Whether a child needs extra support with a particular subject, wants to build their confidence or is ready to be challenged further, I will adapt my teaching to help them reach their full potential.

As a qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching children aged 3–11, I understand that every child learns differently. My approach is patient, encouraging and consistent, with lessons adapted to suit each child’s individual learning style, ability and needs.
I aim to create a positive and supportive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence. I use a range of teaching techniques, including clear explanations, modelling, questioning, practical activities, games and engaging resources to make learning enjoyable and meaningful. I also regularly check understanding and adapt the pace of the lesson to ensure the child is making progress without feeling overwhelmed.
I believe that building a child’s confidence and enjoyment of learning is just as important as developing their academic skills. I celebrate progress, no matter how small, and use consistent encouragement to help children become more independent and confident learners.
