About Veronika
I graduated in BA (Hons) Modern Foreign Languages in July 2022 with a First class degree and I am currently studying Msc Language and Intercultural Communication. Last year, I was able to complete an online internship in a language school in Paris, thanks to which I gained knowledge about planning and creation of online English materials for French primary schools undertaking the project-based learning approach. In addition, I spent the summer teaching Spanish and English in mixed-nationality classrooms in a language academy in Spain, which helped me acquire practice in contexts where students do not share a common first language. I also led weekly conversation classes online and organized voluntary language exchanges in English, Spanish, French, and German. Furthermore, as a part of my undergraduate studies, I was able to complete a teaching placement in GCSE Spanish classes in a secondary school in Liverpool. I have a basic DBS check.

I am a dedicated and passionate language teacher, with work experience from Spain, France, England, and the Czech Republic.
My philosophy in the classroom is: don't be afraid of making mistakes - That's how you learn :)
All of my lessons are tailor-made: I listen to your needs and preferences to adapt my approach accordingly. I also use my own experience as a language learner to help you by pointing out problematic areas/ common mistakes.
Whether you like a fun approach full of games/ songs/ stories and videos or you prefer more of a standard way, I am here for you.
I have experience with children as young as 3, but have also taught adolescents and adults. I would recommend anything between 45-90 minutes for a typical lesson, but if it is simple homework help or conversation, 30 minutes might be just enough.
