As a qualified software engineer and research scholar in data science, I bring over a decade of professional experience in IT, education, and cloud technologies. My background includes working as a Research Associate on cutting-edge machine learning projects, as well as teaching nationally accredited Certificate IV IT units to diverse learners. My Approach to Tutoring
As a passionate educator and experienced IT professional, I focus on building strong conceptual foundations while fostering real-world problem-solving skills. My tutoring sessions are interactive and student-centered, where learners are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and apply their knowledge through hands-on practice.
I begin each class by identifying the student's current level and goals, and then tailor the lesson accordingly using visual aids, practical demonstrations, and mini-assessments. I incorporate examples from industry and academia to make learning engaging and relevant. I also support students with their assignments, projects, and technical interview preparation.
Each session typically lasts for 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs and subject complexity. I maintain flexibility in pacing to ensure every learner gains confidence in the topic before moving ahead.
I have over 10 years of experience in IT and education, including roles as a Research Associate in Data Science and an Instructor teaching Certificate IV ICT units. I hold a Bachelor's in Software Engineering and am currently pursuing a Master of Research in Data Science, specializing in machine learning and fairness in distributed systems.
