About Ella
Hi, I’m Ella! I’m a primary school teacher with five years of teaching experience, with a particular focus on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
I’ve recently moved back to Manchester after working at an international British curriculum school in Dubai. I was part of the team that helped open a brand-new school, where I taught Reception and became the school’s Phonics Lead. Having taught in multiple countries, I have experience working with children from a wide range of nationalities, cultures and backgrounds, as well as children with SEN.
I have an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and a postgraduate degree in Primary School Teaching. I particularly enjoy supporting children with phonics, early reading, writing and maths and helping them develop confidence in their learning. I enjoy getting to know each child as an individual and adapting my approach to help them get the most from their learning.

I like to keep my lessons relaxed, engaging and tailored to each individual child. Every child learns differently, so I take the time to understand their strengths, interests and areas where they may need additional support.
I want children to feel comfortable and confident during lessons while still being challenged and making progress. Whether they need help with a specific area of learning or would benefit from some extra practice and encouragement, I’ll adapt each lesson to suit them.
My aim is to make learning enjoyable while helping children build their skills and confidence.
