About Lauren
Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m a qualified primary school teacher with 8 years’ experience, specialising in KS1 and particularly Year 2. I have extensive experience teaching phonics, early reading, writing and maths.
I’m friendly, approachable and passionate about helping children feel confident in their learning. I also have experience working with home-educated learners and understand the importance of making learning flexible, engaging and personalised to each child.

Every lesson is carefully planned around your child’s individual needs, interests and goals. I use information shared by parents and, where appropriate, schools, including previous assessment and learning targets, to plan focused, purposeful sessions.
Lessons combine high-quality teaching resources, practical activities and fun games to make learning engaging while building confidence and progress. I can adapt the pace and approach as we go, whether your child needs extra practice, consolidation or greater challenge.
I have particular experience in KS1, phonics, early reading, writing and maths, and use a structured synthetic phonics programme and accompanying resources to support systematic phonics teaching.
