About Lucyharrison
Hi, I'm Lucy! I am a qualified primary school teacher with a passion for helping children feel confident and enjoy learning.
I offer online tuition for children aged 5–11 across KS1 and KS2, with a focus on Maths and English. I can support children with reading, writing, phonics, spelling, grammar, maths skills, homework and SATs preparation.
As a teacher, I understand that every child learns differently. I aim to make my lessons relaxed, engaging and tailored to each child's individual needs. Whether your child needs extra support with a particular area, wants to catch up with their classmates, or simply needs a confidence boost, I will work at their pace and help them make progress.
I am friendly, patient and enthusiastic, and I want every child to finish a lesson feeling proud of what they have achieved.

My approach to homework support is friendly, patient and encouraging. As a qualified primary teacher with QTS, I understand that children can sometimes find homework difficult or overwhelming, so I aim to create a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and working at their own pace.
I begin by finding out what homework the child has been given and what they are finding challenging. I then support them through the task using clear explanations, questioning, modelling and examples, helping them understand the work rather than simply giving them the answers.
I adapt my teaching to suit each child's age, ability and learning style. For younger children in EYFS and KS1, I use games, visual resources, phonics activities and practical learning to keep sessions engaging. For KS2 children, I can provide support with Maths, English, reading, writing, spelling, grammar and other primary subjects where appropriate.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes, depending on the child's age, concentration and individual needs. Shorter sessions can be arranged for younger children where appropriate.
I offer online homework support for children aged approximately 4–11, covering EYFS, KS1 and KS2. This can include regular weekly support, help with specific homework tasks, revision, catch-up work and building confidence in areas they find difficult.
As a newly qualified primary teacher with QTS, I have experience planning and delivering lessons, adapting activities for different abilities and supporting children with a range of individual learning needs. My aim is to make homework feel more manageable while helping children become increasingly independent and confident learners.
